400;\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"what-science-tells-us\">O que nos diz a ci\u00eancia<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial da Sa\u00fade (OMS) afirma que a interrup\u00e7\u00e3o circadiana por si s\u00f3 \u00e9 um fator de risco para o cancro.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A \u201cinterrup\u00e7\u00e3o circadiana\u201d define-se como qualquer mudan\u00e7a no padr\u00e3o de sono, seja perda de sono, dificuldade em adormecer ou acordar durante o ciclo do sono. O rel\u00f3gio central do corpo encontra-se no c\u00e9rebro e recebe as suas indica\u00e7\u00f5es em grande parte da luz. A presen\u00e7a de luz diz ao nosso corpo que est\u00e1 na hora de estar acordado, alerta e com fome. O corpo ajusta o seu rel\u00f3gio num ciclo de 24 horas (com base na quantidade de luz que deteta) e \u00e9 seguido por cada sistema org\u00e2nico. O nosso ritmo circadiano controla quando acordamos, o nosso apetite, a nossa temperatura corporal e o nosso humor. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Evid\u00eancias epidemiol\u00f3gicas<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As pessoas que sofrem de jet lag, viajam por v\u00e1rios fusos hor\u00e1rios, trabalham por turnos, t\u00eam dist\u00farbios do sono ou s\u00e3o expostas \u00e0 luz durante a noite podem ter um aumento do risco de cancro da pr\u00f3stata, da mama, do c\u00f3lon, do f\u00edgado, do p\u00e2ncreas, dos ov\u00e1rios e do pulm\u00e3o (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cancerres.aacrjournals.org\/content\/79\/15\/3806\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shafi et al.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">). Reduzir estes fatores de stress e comportamentos pode diminuir as suas probabilidades de desenvolver cancro.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O Centro de Controlo de Doen\u00e7as (CDC) recomenda exames regulares de sa\u00fade e informar o seu m\u00e9dico se tiver algum dos seguintes sintomas: fadiga severa ou sonol\u00eancia quando precisa de estar acordado, problemas com o sono ou o est\u00f4mago, irritabilidade, baixo desempenho no trabalho (erros frequentes, les\u00f5es, etc.), ou ganho ou perda de peso inexplic\u00e1vel (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cdc.gov\/niosh-science-blog\/2021\/04\/27\/nightshift-cancer\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CDC<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).
